Gov Diri’s Unifying, Peaceful Leadership Inspired My Return To APC – Dr. Alaibe

Former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and prominent Bayelsa politician, Dr. Ndutimi Alaibe, has officially declared his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to the unifying and peaceful leadership of the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri.

Dr. Alaibe made the bold declaration on Thursday during a stakeholders meeting of party leaders, executives, elders, women and youth leaders, as well as other critical stakeholders gathered after the official opening of the new state secretariat in Yenagoa.

Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, the prominent Bayelsa politician stated unequivocally that he is fully back to the APC, and unwaveringly committed and dedicated to working with all party stakeholders to strengthen the party in advancing the party’s core objectives.

According to him, the APC remains a viable political platform for promoting democratic ideals, good governance, and sustainable development under the able and pragmatic leadership of the Governor, Senator Douye Diri.

He emphasized the need for unity, reconciliation, and collective action among party members to ensure that the party remains strong, cohesive, and united in preparation for the forthcoming 2027 general elections and future political engagements.

“I am fully back to the All Progressives Congress,” Alaibe declared, drawing applause from party faithful and stakeholders present at the meeting.

He stressed that the time had come for all members to put aside differences and work together in the interest of the party and the people of Bayelsa State.

The former governorship aspirant noted that political parties thrive when members remain united and focused on common goals on its objectives.

He urged APC members across the state to embrace peace, mutual respect, and inclusiveness, adding that the party’s strength lies in its ability to accommodate diverse interests while pursuing a common vision and cause.

Dr. Alaibe further commended the leadership of the party at both the state and national levels for their efforts in repositioning the APC and fostering unity among members.

He pledged his support towards initiatives aimed at expanding the party’s grassroots presence and enhancing its electoral fortunes.

The state party stakeholders meeting provided an avenue for party leaders and members to discuss strategies for strengthening the APC in Bayelsa State, consolidating existing structures for the growth of the party in the state.
