APC Strong, United And Focused Under President Tinubu’s Leadership – Diri

The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Thursday reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as he attended the party’s stakeholders’ meeting in Yenagoa, describing the gathering as a significant milestone in strengthening the party’s structures and preparing for future political engagements.

The meeting, which was the first major stakeholders’ gathering following the recently concluded ward, local government and state congresses as well as party primaries, brought together party leaders, members, elected officials, and aspirants from across Bayelsa State to deliberate on the way forward for the APC.

Hotnews reports that addressing the stakeholders, Governor Diri noted that the meeting provided an opportunity for party faithful to reflect on recent developments, evaluate the successes of the congresses and primaries, and strategize on consolidating the gains already achieved.

According to the governor, the APC in Bayelsa has emerged stronger, more united, and better positioned to deliver purposeful leadership to the people through collective commitment, inclusiveness, and internal cohesion.

Governor Diri expressed satisfaction with the current state of the party, emphasizing that the APC remains the most formidable political platform in Nigeria under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He commended President Tinubu for his bold economic reforms and transformational agenda, stating that the President’s leadership continues to inspire confidence among Nigerians and demonstrates a genuine commitment to restructuring critical sectors of the nation’s economy for sustainable growth and development.

The Governor reaffirmed his loyalty and support to President Tinubu’s administration, pledging to continue working with all stakeholders to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda while promoting peace, unity, and prosperity in Bayelsa State.

A major highlight of the event was the formal commissioning of the new APC Bayelsa State Secretariat located along the Sani Abacha Expressway in Yenagoa.

Governor Diri described the newly completed secretariat as a symbol of the party’s stability, growth, and readiness to effectively coordinate its activities across the state.

He commended the State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba, alongside members of the State Working Committee, for their foresight, dedication, and commitment in providing a befitting administrative headquarters that would serve as a rallying point for members and facilitate efficient party administration.

The Governor also applauded the establishment of the State and Local Government Advisory Committees, describing the initiative as a strategic step toward deepening grassroots participation, providing experienced guidance to party leadership, and strengthening the APC’s structures in every part of Bayelsa State.

He stressed that the advisory committees would play a crucial role in fostering greater collaboration among stakeholders while ensuring that the party remains responsive to the aspirations of its members and the people of the state.

Governor Diri called on all party members, irrespective of their roles during the primaries, to remain united and committed to the collective interest of the APC, noting that the strength of the party lies in its unity, discipline, and shared vision for a better Bayelsa and a greater Nigeria.

He reiterated that his administration would continue to work closely with the Federal Government and all relevant stakeholders to sustain peace, accelerate development, and improve the welfare of the people.

The stakeholders’ meeting concluded with renewed optimism as party leaders and members reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the APC and supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in delivering lasting dividends of democracy across Nigeria.
