Gov Diri Mourns Madam Patience Egukawhore, Attends Funeral in Delta

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Saturday joined family members, friends, and sympathisers at the funeral of Madam Patience Igho Egukawhore at Okpolo-Enhwe Town in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Hotnews gathered that late Madam Egukawhore, who passed away at the age of 67, was the elder sister of the Chief Executive Officer of Wayles Group, High Chief (Dr.) Victor Emonena Wayles Egukawhore, who is a close associate of the Bayelsa Governor.

Governor Diri described the deceased as a woman of exemplary humility, deep family values, and unwavering commitment to public service for the wellbeing of her people and beyond.

He noted that her life was marked by practical love, selfless service, and dedication to the unity and progress of her family and community.

According to the Governor, Madam Egukawhore’s warm personality and positive impact on those around her would remain a lasting legacy and a source of inspiration to many.

He prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the bereaved Egukawhore family and all loved ones affected by the loss.

The funeral ceremony attracted political leaders, traditional rulers, and dignitaries from Bayelsa and Delta states, reflecting the enduring relationship and strong inter-state ties between the two neighbouring states.
