Gov. Diri’s Administration Will Be The Worst In The History Of Bayelsa State – Social Media Influencer

Yenagoa – A social media influencer and online celebrity on her twitter handle has described the Senator Douye Diri led Prosperity administration as a government without achievement in two years, stressing that his administration might be the worst in the history of the State.

The Supreme Court ruling in February 13th 2020, sacking the All Progressives Congress Deputy Governorship Candidate, Senator Biobarakuma Degi Eremienyo over name discrepancies in his certificates, ushered in the Prosperity Government led by Senator Douye Diri as Governor and Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo as Deputy Governor.

A social media influencer and online celebrity, Matt Bobmanuel on her twitter handle described the prosperity administration as a government of zero achievements in two years taking a comparative analysis of revenue and infrastructural development in the State.

She wrote on her twitter handle:

“I just watched the two years achievement of Governor Douye on Arise TV. I have to agree with Pst David Ibiyeomie….I pity Bayelsa State. Bayelsans have been unfortunate with leadership and Douye Diri might be the worst of them all. I documented Gov. Sylva’s and Dickson’s 2nd year in office achievements I still have them as archives. But you see this Diri’s achievement televised right now, I cannot even describe it as dropping the bar, there’s simply no bar. We can’t even blame Bayelsans on this one, they didn’t elect him into office.

Mrs Bobmanuel’s assessment of the Prosperity Government captivated the minds of so many well-meaning Bayelsan and Nigerians at large, applauding her for the courage and boldness in stating the facts which in adverse effect has created a lot of tension and depression in the Prosperity Government led by Governor Douye Diri.

Hotnews gathered that the governor and government house appointees were furious and tensed about the online celebrity’s assessment of the Prosperity Government in two years, as the worst administration in the history of the State, stressing that the governor’s poor performance is a result of the fact that he was not elected into office by Bayelsans.

The Prosperity administration led by Governor Douye Diri has received N448billion Faac disbursement, N40billion loan, N38.4billion fed. govt refund, N1billion monthly IGR, N15billion monthly 13% derivation etc, in the past two years.

Investigations revealed that the prosperity government celebrated its one and two years in office with projects initiated and completed by the previous administration, while receiving constantly increasing faac disbursement, 13% derivation, internal generated revenue, fed. govt refunds, loans obtained etc amounting to trillions of naira in less three years.

Hotnews gathered that the prosperity administration has deliberately deprived primary school teachers, health workers of the new minimum wage, non-implementation of promotions and other allowances, stressing that non-academic staffs of State owned higher institutions has been on strike since December, 2021.
