Kolokolo Congratulates Ogbuku On His Successful Inauguration As The Substantive MD Of The NDDC

The Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Bayelsa State, Hon. Francis Kolokolo Esq, has congratulated his friend and political ally, Chief Samuel Ogbuku Ph.D on his successful inauguration as the Substantive Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari submitted 14 board nominees as substantive members of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to the senate for screening and confirmation, which they were successfully screened and confirmed by the senate few weeks ago, as board members of the commission.

In a statement sent to newsmen of hotnews; Kolokolo described Ogbuku’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition from the party and the leadership at the state and national level for his steadfastness to the party, adding that the appointment is an overwhelming development to the party mostly in Bayelsa State.

Kolokolo described Ogbuku as a close friend and political ally, who can be best described as a dogged core party man that has made laudable contributions and sacrifices in building a stronger and more formidable party structure towards the growth and development of the party in the state over the years.

“Dr Samuel Ogbuku’s appointment as the Substantive Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is a great step in the right direction towards building a more formidable party structure in the state, which will address a lot of issues in the party as a core party man who understands the game of party politics.

Kolokolo stated that he has no doubt of Ogbuku’s capability and competence in managing the affairs of the commission to the best of his ability as an intellectual leader who has handled tasking public offices in the past with the requisite knowledge and experience to handle the office effectively, adding that the appointment is a square peg in a square hole.

He thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the overwhelming recognition of the core party man as a Substantive Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) which is a great encouragement to other party members to be steadfast, stressing that the appointment is an appreciation for loyalty and commitment to the party.

Kolokolo further appreciated the leader of the party in the state and the Honourable Minister of State For Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva for facilitating the appointment of the core party man, and his continuous relentless efforts towards building a stronger party structure, which is a great step in the right direction towards the growth and development of the party mostly at the State level.

He used the medium to appeal to all critical stakeholders of the Niger Delta region to collaboratively with the new substantive board members of the commission to ensure that the goals and objectives of the commission is accomplished within the shortest period of time, adding that the commission cannot achieve the needed results without the cooperation of critical stakeholders in the region.
