Lokpobiri, Ogbuku, Amgbare Hails Diri For Repositioning APC

Chieftains and prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, have unanimously commended Governor Douye Diri for what they described as his exceptional leadership, peaceful disposition, and remarkable ability to unite members of the party across the state.

Speaking during the APC stakeholders’ meeting held on Thursday at the party’s state secretariat in Yenagoa, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, and the Managing Director of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA, Hon. Ebitimi Amgbare, praised Governor Diri’s efforts in repositioning the APC in Bayelsa.

The leaders noted that the Governor had demonstrated uncommon political maturity by bringing together different tendencies within the party and fostering an atmosphere of unity, peace, and mutual respect.

They described the development as a significant milestone that would strengthen the APC ahead of future political engagements.

According to them, Governor Diri’s leadership has transformed the political landscape of the state by promoting reconciliation and inclusiveness, qualities they said have helped eliminate divisions that previously affected the party.

They stated that the stakeholders’ meeting, which was the first major gathering following the recently concluded congresses and party primaries, reflected the renewed spirit of togetherness within the APC.

The event brought together of party executives, leaders, stakeholders, elected officials, and candidates, aspirants, and members generally, all united by a common resolve to build a stronger and more formidable party.

The speakers further applauded Governor Diri’s commitment to carrying every stakeholder along, emphasizing that his style of leadership has inspired confidence among party members, creating an enabling environment for peaceful dialogue and collaboration.

They urged members of the APC to remain united, support the governor’s leadership, and place the overall interest of the party above individual ambitions for the overall interest, unity and progress of the party in the state.

They stressed that sustained unity and peace would be paramount to consolidating the party’s growing strength, and attaining success in the general elections in Bayelsa State.

The meeting ended with renewed assurances from party leaders and stakeholders to continue working collectively in support of Governor Diri’s vision of a united, peaceful, and progressive APC capable of delivering effective leadership and development for the people of Bayelsa State.
