Tinubu’s Leadership Qualities Influenced My Decision – Diri

The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has attributed his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the exemplary leadership qualities, as well as the visionary and transformative economic reforms agenda of Renewed Hope by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

Speaking during an APC stakeholders’ meeting in Yenagoa, attended by party leaders, government officials, and members, Governor Diri stated that President Tinubu’s commitment to national development, economic revitalization, and inclusive governance influenced his political decision.

According to the Governor, Nigeria is currently undergoing a critical phase of economic transformation, and President Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon courage and determination in implementing policies aimed at repositioning the nation’s economy for sustainable growth and prosperity.

Governor Diri noted that despite the challenges associated with major economic reforms, the President has remained focused on his vision of building a stronger and more resilient Nigeria.

He described Tinubu as a leader with exceptional charisma, political experience, and the capacity to unite diverse interests across the country.

“I am fully convinced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu possesses the charisma, competence, and vision required to restructure and transform the Nigerian economy.

“His leadership style, commitment to national progress, and determination to address longstanding economic challenges have inspired me to join the All Progressives Congress,” Governor Diri stated.

The state helmsman emphasized that his decision was guided by the desire to align the state more closely with the Federal Government in order to attract greater development opportunities, investments, and infrastructural projects that would directly benefit the people of Bayelsa.

He expressed confidence that the APC under President Tinubu’s leadership would continue to provide a platform for national unity, economic growth, and democratic consolidation.
