Nigeria Senate Confirms Three NDDC State Representative Nominees By President Buhari As Board Members
The Nigeria Senate has confirmed three Nominees as State Representatives of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), which was sent to the Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari for screening and confirmation as Board Members of the Commission yesterday, during plenary session at Abuja.
Recall that three states (Delta, Edo and Imo) representatives were excluded on the list of nominees as board members of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), which was submitted by President Buhari to the national assembly (Senate) for screening and confirmation in 2022.
In order to fill up the vacuum in accordance with the NDDC Act, President Buhari submitted the remaining three state representative nominees of Delta, Edo and Imo to the national assembly (Senate) for screening and confirmation as board members of the commission.
The Senate confirmed the appointment of three nominees’ by President Muhammadu Buhari for appointment as board members of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Their confirmation followed the presentation, consideration and adoption of report of the committee on NDDC by the Chairman, Senator Amos Bulus.
The confirmed nominees were, Benard Oboatarihieyeren Okwmagba (Delta), Patric Aisowieren (Edo) and Kyrian Chidiebere Uchegbu (Imo).
