Ogbuku Congratulates Diri On His Re-Election As Governor Of Bayelsa State
The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Samuel Ogbuku Ph.D, has congratulated the miracle Governor, Sen. Douye Diri and his Deputy, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, on their re-election as Governor and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State.
In a congratulatory message issued by the managing director of the commission, described the governor as a peaceful leader that puts the interest of the state first, by putting politics aside, and focused on delivering democratic dividends to the people of Bayelsa state.
The PDP Governorship Candidate, Sen. Douye Diri scored 175,196 votes to defeat the APC Governorship Candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva who scored 110,108 votes in the just concluded November 11th gubernatorial election in the state.
Dr. Ogbuku urged Gov. Diri to remain magnanimous in his victory by continuing to run an all-inclusive government required to foster peace and unity, and derive the sustainable development of the state.
The statement reads: “My dear brother, His Excellency, Governor Douye Diri.
“My family and I heartily congratulate you on your re-election at the just concluded Governorship Election in Bayelsa State. Even though the election was keenly contested, you fought a good fight and eventually emerged the winner.
“As the governor of our dear state, we are hopeful that you will consolidate on your programmes and policies.
“I believe that as a man known for his peaceful demeanor, you have put politics aside and focused on delivering democratic dividends to our people.
“May you remain magnanimous in your victory, run an all-inclusive government required to foster unity and derive the sustainable development of Bayelsa State.
