Opposition Will Learn The Game Of Incumbency – Diri

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has reiterated unwavering support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, declaring that the victory of all APC candidates in Bayelsa State remains a collective goal of the party.

Governor Diri made the declaration on Saturday while addressing party faithful and stakeholders at the state collation centre for the APC presidential primary election held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.

The governor emphasized that the party in Bayelsa was fully united and committed to ensuring the success of President Tinubu’s re-election, as well as delivering victory for all candidates contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.

According to him, the APC in Bayelsa State has continued to grow stronger and more formidable through unity, cooperation, and strategic leadership, stressing that the party must remain focused on mobilizing support across the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

Governor Diri noted that the outcome of the presidential primary election, reflected the confidence and trust party members have in President Bola Tinubu’s visionary leadership and governance of transformational development across the country.

He maintained that the APC-led administration at the federal level has continued to implement policies aimed at national development and economic transformation through transformational infrastructure.

Senator Diri stated that opposition political parties would soon come to understand the significance and influence of incumbency in the coming elections, adding that the APC remains well-positioned to consolidate its political dominance at all levels.

He urged party stakeholders, members of youth and women groups, including supporters to close ranks and work collectively for the victory of all APC candidates, including the presidential, national assembly, and state assembly candidates across Bayelsa State.

Governor Diri further commended party officials and delegates for the peaceful conduct of the presidential primary election, describing the exercise as transparent, orderly, peaceful, and a demonstration of internal democracy within the APC towards the elections.

He called on members to sustain the spirit of unity and loyalty to the party, emphasizing that only a united APC can achieve resounding success in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Party leaders, stakeholders, members at the event, expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s re-election bid, and pledged continued support for the landslide victory of all APC candidates in the elections across Bayelsa State.
