PAP Cancel One-Day Workshop With Niger Delta Stakeholders.
The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Maj-General Barry Tariye Ndiomu (Rtd) has cancelled the meeting with critical stakeholders of the Niger Delta region due to the ravaging flood that has submerged most Communities in the Niger Delta region.
General Ndiomu made this known while addressing newsmen of hotnews stated that the one-day programme was borne out of the great need in achieving the goals and objectives of the programme engaging critical stakeholders in the region in a round-table discussion.
Recalled that the new amnesty boss scheduled a one-day workshop in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State involving critical stakeholders of the Niger Delta region to discuss critical issues of concern that will grow and strengthen the presidential amnesty programme in accomplishing the needed results of the establishment of the programme.
According to the amnesty programme boss, General Ndiomu stated that the ravaging flood which has submerged so many communities in the Niger Delta region led to the postponement of the one-day workshop which is first of its kind under the programme earlier scheduled for Friday 14th of October, 2022.
General Ndiomu while informing invitees and the general public of the postponement of the event stated that a new date will be communicated to all participants appropriately for the one-day workshop which will be involving major critical stakeholders of the Niger Delta region.
General Ndiomu used the medium to apologize for any inconvenience the cancellation of the one-day workshop might have caused participants and the general public, stressing that a new date will be communicated when the flood has been receded mostly in the region.
General Ndiomu further thanked all critical stakeholder in the Niger Delta region for the cooperation since assumption in office, and the readiness to collaboratively address issues of the region to advance the programme in achieving the goals and objectives of the programme.
