Dickson Led High-Powered Delegation On Courtesy Visit To Petroleum Minister, Lokpobiri

The Former Governor of Bayelsa State and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson led a high-powered delegation on a courtesy visit to the Minister of Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri.

The Former Governor and Senator made this known through his official facebook handle, described the courtesy visit as a solidarity visit to congratulate the honorable minister, and thank the President for appointing an illustrious son from the senatorial district and the state.

The high-powered delegation led by the former governor and federal lawmaker to the honorable minister, comprised of well-respected political and traditional leaders, elders, women and youths from Bayelsa West Senatorial District basically.

Dickson while congratulating and commending Sen. Lokpobiri for the achievements recorded in the petroleum ministry, stated that the high-powered delegation was to reciprocate the courtesy visit of the honorable minister at his residence.

He stated that Sen. Lokpobiri is not only the first Petroleum Minister from Bayelsa West Senatorial District, but in fact, the only Minister of the Ijaw extraction in the current federal cabinet of President Tinubu.

“It’s a public knowledge that it has being my policy to build unity, stability and promote teamwork, and consensually mobilize support for any of our people at the federal level, irrespective of political party affiliations” Senator Dickson added.

The high-powered delegation while calling for support and praying for the honorable minister, stated that they have trust in the minster’s knowledge and capacity to attract development to the people of the senatorial district, the state, the Ijaw nation, the Niger Delta and Nigeria.

Dickson popularly known as the Ofuruma-Pepe (Great White-Shark), thanked the senatorial leaders for their selfless services over the years, and always responding whenever they are called upon for such functions even at short notice.

He added by thanking the honorable minister and his team for their warm reception and hospitality during the courtesy visit, and wished the honorable minister the very best in office while addressing issues of the petroleum ministry for the better.
