Senator Dickson Received Chairman & Executives Of Abuja Chapter Of Ijaw Youth Council

The Former Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, received the newly elected Chairman and Executives of the Abuja Chapter of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC).

The former governor and senator made this known through his official facebook handle, expressed his profound gratitude for the courtesy visit, and urged the executives of the chapter to work together in peace and unity for the benefit of all.

The chairman and other executives of the body courtesy visit to the federal lawmaker, was to familiarize with the senator, and also use the medium to felicitate with the former governor on the auspicious occasion of his 58th happy birthday.

The chairman and other executives of the chapter presented a plague of Excellence Service Award to the former governor and senator as an acknowledgement for his relentless services to the Ijaw nation, the Niger Delta and the country at large.

Senator Dickson used the medium to enlighten them on what needs to be done for the progress and development of the nation, stressing the importance of education, capacity building, self-development and service with integrity.

He urged the chairman and other executives of the chapter to continue the efforts of mobilizing and advocating for the development of the Ijaw nation, the Niger Delta and the country for the benefit of the populace.

The statement reads: “Yesterday, I received the newly elected Chairman of the Abuja Chapter of the IYC and his Executives. They came to introduce theirselves and also to felicitate with me on my birthday and used the opportunity to present a plaque of Excellence Service Award to me in acknowledgement of my services to the Ijaw Nation, the Niger Delta and to our country.

“I expressed my gratitude and urged them to work together, continue the efforts to advocate for and mobilize our people. Furthermore, I used the opportunity to enlighten them about the situation of our people in Nigeria and what must be done for our development and progress within the context of the Nigerian nation. I particularly stressed the importance of education, capacity building, self development and service with integrity.
