Senator Dickson Receives An Award Of Leadership Excellence, Selfless Service To Humanity

The Former Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has received an Award of Excellence and Service delivery for his tremendous contributions and selfless services from Arewa Journalists’ Forum (AJF).

The Forum singled out the former Governor and Senator for the award, due to his relentless contributions on national issues, most especially democracy, good governance and enormous services to humanity and society at large over the years.

The Forum’s National President, Mr Hassan Galadima, described the federal lawmaker as a vocal and eloquent patriotic Nigerian, who has made tremendous contributions in reforming democratic processes and governance towards nation-building.

Mr Galadima used the medium to overwhelmingly commend Senator Dickson for his good leadership attributes and selfless services to the people of Bayelsa State, the Niger Delta and the Ijaw nation, by extension grooming and building youthful leaders with tolerance.

He lauded the Senator’s educational support grants to undergraduate and postgraduate students across Bayelsa State and beyond through his foundation (Henry Seriake Dickson Foundation) over the years, knowing the importance of education in nation-building and the society.

Mr Galadima appealed to Senator Dickson to be a Patron of the Forum for his tremendous contributions and selfless services in promoting improved democratic processes, constitutional laws and good governance towards nation-building as a vocal true patriotic Nigerian.

In his remarks, Senator Dickson thanked the President and members of the Arewa Journalists’ Forum for the Award of Leadership Excellence, stressing that the award is nothing but a motivation to render more selfless services to humanity and nation-building as a growing nation.

Senator Dickson while assuring the forum of his readiness to avail himself for advice and patronage, appealed to media outlets nationally to maintain the ethics and standards of the respectable profession while carrying out their media functions and duties professionally basically.

The Award of Leadership Excellence and achievements was conferred on the federal lawmaker for his outstanding successes recorded so far, as a member of the house of reps, two-time Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, and serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
