Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum Holds Strategic Meeting With State Chairman

The Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum (BAGF) on Thursday held a high-level strategic meeting with the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Hon. Warman Ogoriba, at the Conference Hall of the party’s State Secretariat in Yenagoa.

The meeting, attended by the leadership of the Forum, was aimed at strengthening collaboration with the party leadership, promoting unity within the APC, and discussing strategies for the continued growth and success of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the meeting, the delegation congratulated Hon. Ogoriba on his well-deserved emergence as the State Chairman of the APC. They described his emergence as a new chapter for the party in Bayelsa State and expressed confidence in his ability to reposition the APC through purposeful, transparent and inclusive leadership.

The Forum commended the State Chairman for his open-door policy, people-oriented leadership style, sincerity, and unwavering commitment to the affairs of the party. According to the delegation, his leadership has inspired renewed confidence among party members and has significantly strengthened unity across the party’s structures in the state.

The delegation also applauded Hon. Ogoriba for fostering harmony among stakeholders and building stronger relationships within the APC family. They reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to the party and pledged their continued support and commitment to working with the State Executive Committee to ensure the APC records overwhelming victories in the 2027 general elections.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both parties to deliberate on strategic issues affecting the party, with emphasis on grassroots mobilization, membership expansion, stakeholder engagement, and strengthening party structures across the eight local government areas of Bayelsa State.

Responding, the APC State Chairman, Hon. Warman Ogoriba, warmly welcomed the delegation and thanked the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum for its steadfast commitment to the party. He acknowledged the Forum’s contributions to the growth of the APC and assured members that his administration would continue to collaborate closely with all genuine and committed support groups.

Hon. Ogoriba charged party faithful to remain united, focused, and committed to the ideals of the APC. He stressed that unity remains the foundation for electoral success and called on members to intensify grassroots mobilization in support of the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the victory of all APC candidates in Bayelsa State during the 2027 elections.

He urged members to continue promoting the vision and programmes of the APC while working collectively to expand the party’s support base across the state.

Delivering the vote of thanks, the Director General of the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum, Hon. Deme Ataribo Ayawari, expressed profound gratitude to God for blessing the party with an experienced, sincere, transparent and visionary leader in the person of Hon. Warman Ogoriba.

He also appreciated the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, and his Deputy, Dr. Pastor Peter Akpe, for providing a befitting and modern State Secretariat for the APC. He described the edifice as one of the finest party secretariats in Nigeria and noted that it provides a conducive environment for effective party administration and stakeholder engagement.

The meeting ended on a note of renewed commitment, unity and optimism, with members reaffirming their resolve to work tirelessly towards building a stronger APC and securing victory for the party at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
