Dickson Donates Country Home To Commence Academic Activities Of Hensard University Toru-Orua

The Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson has donated his country home in Toru-Orua community to commence academic activities of Hensard University Toru-Orua.

Dickson made this known while having an interactive session with newsmen in Abuja, stressed the importance of the immediate commencement of academic activities in the private university.

Dickson as a lover of education perceived the utmost importance to establish the private university under his education support foundation to meet the educational gap created by the public sector in the state.

“Hensard University is expected to be one of the best tertiary institutions in the world, with modern standard lecture classrooms and administrative offices.

Recall that Dickson assumption in office as governor declared emergency on the educational sector. He built new classrooms and renovated existing ones to create a better and comfortable learning environment.

Dickson went further to build headmasters and teachers lodges, including corpers lodge in public schools across the state, to create comfortable living conditions for the management of the public schools.

Statistics shows that Bayelsa is one of the most backward states in terms of quality education in the country. The immediate commencement of academic activities in the institution will improve the sector in the state.
