Dickson Holds Pre-NEC Meeting With NDC National Officers, State Chairmen

Founder and National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, hosted national officers, and state chairmen as first pre-NEC meeting to deliberate on issues of the party.

Senator Dickson, who made this known through his official facebook handle, thanked all officers of the NDC, who graciously attended the meeting despite the short notice.

He said political parties exist for the people, and not for a few leaders or big names, adding that is what the NDC stands for–as the paradigm the people seek to change in order to promote responsible leadership.

Hotnews quote Dickson statement and it read in parts: “Yesterday evening, I also hosted the first pre-NEC meeting with all chairmen and national officers of the NDC. I thank them for attending despite the short notice. Today, we look forward to a productive first NEC meeting.

“Though we are less than four weeks old as a party, we are already making significant impact. We are determined to show how political parties should be built—from the grassroots to the top.

“Political parties exist for the people, not for a few leaders or big names. While everyone is welcome, political parties and democracy must essentially be about the people, not the other way around. This is the paradigm we seek to change in order to promote responsible leadership in Nigeria.
