Governor Diri who was accompanied by top government officials, made this known when he inspected the Polaku-Sabagreia road and bridge projects to assess the level of progress made so far, respectively.
The governor while stating the importance of the road project, said the road when completed will create different access points that will not only be useful to the benefiting communities of Polaku and Sabagreia, but Bayelsans in general.
Governor Diri commending the contracting construction company for the progress made so far, said the project was in a sand filling stage when he visited the project last year.
He added that sand filling is almost done while the bridge is under serious construction, stressing that the project will be completed in August this year, as assured by the Managing Director of the company.
The historical road project when completed and commissioned for public use, will immensely improve socio-economic activities in the benefiting communities, the state and the nation at large.
