Senator Dickson Commends Joint Technical Committee Members On Student Loan
The Former Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has commended the Nigerian Senate for considering the report of the Joint Technical Committee of the Student Loan Board as a great bold step.
The Former Governor and Senator made this known through his official facebook handle, expressed delight over the passing of the joint technical committee report by the Senate on the student loan arising from the recommendations of the committee.
Senator Dickson who chaired the joint technical committee, extended immeasurable gratitude to all members of the committee from both chambers, including members of the Executive Arm that worked for three days to actualize the laudable and impactful student loan scheme.
Senator Dickson while pointing out a similar student loan scheme that was introduced under his administration as Governor in Bayelsa State, appreciated President Bola Tinubu for introducing the student loan scheme as a result of his great plans for Nigerian students basically.
The student loan scheme to achieve the requisite result, Senator Dickson urged for effective implementation of the joint technical committee report in order to achieve the desired result.
The statement reads: “The Senate considered the report of the Joint Technical Committee of the Student Loan Board which has been passed arising from the recommendations of the Technical Committee that I chaired to address impediments.
“I extend my immeasurable gratitude to all committee members from both Chambers and members of the Executive Arm who worked with me for three days in our bid to actualize this laudable and highly impactful scheme.
“This is a similar Student Loan initiative that I introduced in Bayelsa a decade ago, which has proven to be a huge success and I am happy that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who means well for Nigerian Students has also introduced this scheme.
“Finally, I urge for its effective implementation in order to achieve the desired result.
